Charlie Booze, Jr.  Blows Away NMRA Competition at Bradenton

March 10, 2008 Bradenton, FL – In the first match-up of the season, Charlie Booze, Jr. driving the BBR Mustang exploded out of the gate on Saturday, shattering the old record and resetting it with an 8.65 at 156.73mph.  The NMRA Hot Street champion proved that he doesn’t plan to let up one bit, despite becoming a new dad in the off-season, when he spanked the opposition with an 8.62 @162.45 in the first round of eliminations on Sunday.  The BBR team kept the heat on, through to the final elimination round when Charlie Jr. pulled out a stinging .015 light and took the win with a 8.68 @151.33.

Being the first in 8.60’s is no longer a novelty, though no less an achievement, for the team who broke the 9.0’s, 8.9’s, 8.8’s, and 8.7’s as well with their Kuntz & Co. engines.  The BBR Freight Train continues down the track kicking off the new season with a stellar performance.  Catch Charlie Jr. and the BBR team at their next NMRA race in Reynolds, GA April 4-6.
